About the role:

OpenView Education are seeking new workshop facilitators and performers to deliver interactive workshops in schools on a range of topics including:

  • Mental Health & Wellbeing
  • Anti-Bullying
  • Internet Safety

This role offers you a high level of autonomy and the opportunity to learn new skills. Delivering these workshops can make a real difference to the lives of young people. You will work in a solo capacity, and most often with one class at a time.

The workshops involve puppetry, performance, and role-play.

 You will receive full training along with scripts for the sessions in advance of the workshops.

All OpenView Education facilitators are required to complete two days of training and an observation day prior to facilitating workshops.

Key Dates:

Virtual Casting: Monday 23rd August & Tuesday 24th August. This casting will be via Zoom.

Training Days: Thursday 2nd & Friday 3rd September 2021 (Zoom)

Adhoc dates throughout September, October & November 2021.

Hold an up to date enhanced DBS check (within two years, or on update service)

Based in Greater London, Manchester or Leeds. 

Your own laptop with PowerPoint. Experience or background in theatre or performance.

Experience or background in an educational context or of working with young people.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to be self-directed with excellent time management skills. 

Your own Bluetooth speaker.


Access to your own vehicle. 

Performance experience with puppetry. 

Training in performance or education. 

Experience facilitating or performing in schools.

Workshop fees:

  • £125 per full day
  • £100 per half day


Key Dates:

Applicants need to be available for the following dates.

Online Casting: Wednesday 9th September 2020.

We will be holding online castings, most likely via Zoom.

Online Rehearsals: Tuesday 27th & Wednesday 28th October 2020, most likely via Zoom.

Delivering the workshops: Monday 2nd November 2020 – Friday 27th November 2020.

Possible Extension: Monday 30th November 2020 – Friday 4th December 2020.
