What Is AI – and Can We Trust It? | KS2 Internet Safety Video Lesson

Suitable for KS2 | Duration: 15–20 minutes | Press-and-play classroom lesson

In this engaging lesson, James from OpenView Education introduces pupils to the world of AI (Artificial Intelligence) and helps them build essential critical thinking skills for staying safe and informed online.

Pupils are encouraged to pause, discuss, vote, and reflect throughout the session, making it ideal for both whole-class learning and small-group work.

By the end of the lesson, children will understand how to question what they see, recognise when something may have been altered by AI, and know when to check with a trusted adult.

The lesson finishes with a fun creative task where pupils design their own Critical Thinking poster, reinforcing the key digital skills they’ve learned.
