Use Your Power for Good: A Simple, Action-Led Poster for Anti-Bullying Week 2025

Anti-Bullying Week 2025 is all about “Power for Good”, a positive, practical theme that reminds every pupil (and adult) that our words and actions can make school a kinder, safer place.

“Every young person deserves to feel safe and included in their school… ‘Power for Good’ emphasises the positive difference each one of us can make.” – Anti-Bullying Alliance, 2025

This year’s focus moves the conversation from blame to empowerment and action. It’s a brilliant opportunity for whole-school engagement, asking the question: How can I use my power for good today?

What is Anti-Bullying Week 2025?

The theme “Power for Good” highlights the role each of us plays in:

  • positively influencing others,

  • building stronger, safer communities, and

  • actively preventing bullying.

By focusing on what each person can do, regardless of age supports a positive whole school approach towards Anti-Bullying.

Introducing the “Use Your Power for Good” Classroom Poster

To bring the theme to life, we’ve created a visual, pupil-friendly poster that turns values into actions. It features five simple skills pupils can use straight away:

  • Speak Up: If you see bullying or unkindness, use your voice and say something.

  • Have Courage: Being brave helps us do the right thing, even when it’s difficult.

  • Show Kindness: Small, everyday acts of kindness make a big difference.

  • Show Teamwork: Include others and celebrate what makes us unique.

  • Ask for Help: Get support from a trusted adult when you need it.

These five skills are easy to understand and immediately usable, perfect for helping pupils to identify positive actions they can take every day to use their power for good.

How to Use the Poster in Your Classroom

Here are quick, low-prep ways to embed the poster into daily practice:

  • Starter Discussion (5 mins):
Ask: “Where could we use this skill today?” Choose one skill each morning.

  • Role-Play Scenarios:
Create short, realistic situations. Pupils practise using “Speak Up” or “Ask for Help”.

  • Kindness Challenge:
Set a daily or weekly challenge linked to “Show Kindness” or “Show Teamwork”. Celebrate specific examples.

  • Peer Agreements:
Co-create a class charter using the five skills. Revisit it weekly.

  • Exit Tickets:
Before home time, pupils write one way they used their power for good today.

Display the poster in classrooms, corridors, and shared spaces. Refer to it during circle time, assemblies and restorative conversations. The more pupils see it, the more these behaviours become part of your school culture.

Why This Works

  • Simple language, transferable actions: pupils can apply the same five skills in class, online, and in the community.

  • Positive framing: focuses on what to do, not just what to avoid.

  • Whole-school consistency: shared language accelerates culture change and supports staff in reinforcing expectations.

Anti-Bullying Week Activities You Can Run Around the Poster

  • Power for Good Assembly: Introduce the five skills with real stories from your school.

  • Skill of the Week: Spotlight one skill; collect examples; share in celebration assembly.

  • Peer Mentors: Train a small group to model “Speak Up” and “Ask for Help,” signposting support routes.

  • Online Safety Link: Explore how to use these skills in group chats and online games.

  • Parent Take-Home: Share the five skills in your newsletter so families can reinforce them at home.
